factoidWine Fact of the Month
Time for your random wine factoid of the month!  Do you know what wine region of France is best known for its production of toothsome, dry rosé?

France has countless wine regions that produce some of the best quality wines in the world.  When it comes to French rosé though, your best bet is to purchase some from the Provence region.  Provence is France's oldest winemaking region.  It is also the only region in France and the only region in the world to focus primarily on the production of rosé.  They've been perfecting the craft for 2,600 years.

If you are interested in learning more random wine facts such as this one, a great place to do so is a wine appreciation class! It just so happens we offer such classes right here at the farm winery.  For more information check us out at
our website.  Stay tuned for future newsletters with more random wine facts to come!

Notes from the Tasting Roomtastingroom

It's a dog's world.  You know we have Rusty's Cellar, our winery room that you can enjoy during your visit or rent for your special function.  Even Rusty was impressed with the carved wooden sign we just installed outside his room!  Then there is Rusty's Red, our very popular red wine bearing his likeness.  And now, Rusty has some Gourmet Dog Treats he'd like to share with all his friends.  Whether you bring your pets in the Winery, leave them in the car, or leave them at home, they can also enjoy the Adams County Winery experience.  These tasty treats (according to Rusty as well as some of the employees!) are an all natural, non-alcoholic, locally made product.  Best of all...they're in the shape of wine bottles!!  You can purchase them individually or packaged for your important pooch.

 VDayWine and Chocolate Pairing!
We had this great event planned with Wolfgang Candy to offer you the opportunity to try our wine and pair it with Wolfgang's unique chocolates.  Unfortunately mother nature had a different idea!  We refused to let her beat us though, so our wine and chocolate event, so thoughtfully planned to occur before Valentine's Day, has been rescheduled to this Saturday, February 27th.

This delicious event will take place from 1-3 pm at our Farm in Orrtanna and also at Adams County Winery's downtown wine shop, Twenty-five C, located just off the square in downtown Gettysburg at 25 Chambersburg Street. This event is free and open to the public, no reservation necessary!

Wolfgang will be bringing some of their finest chocolates for us to pair with some of our finest award winning wines. Both wine and chocolate will be available for purchase. If you are looking for that perfect "Belated" Valentine's Day gift, we'll have it! This event could also be your excuse to purchase some wine and chocolate for yourself!
