Adams County Winery is south central PA’s largest wine producer and longest continually operating winery. The Farm Winery's Tasting Room is housed inside of a pre-Civil War bank barn settled in the beautiful countryside located just outside of Gettysburg.
We provide a small menu in the Tasting Room consisting of assorted cheeses, crackers, and meats. Mr. Ed’s candy is also available. We encourage guests to bring their own food or support a local restaurant who is providing take out. In busier months, we offer wood-fired pizza and appetizers from our Terrace Bistro. The Terrace Bistro is open Friday, Saturday, & Sunday, 11am – 4pm, May – October.
We have plenty of outdoor tables, umbrellas, and seats ready for you! Although, larger events do draw a crowd, so bringing extra seating is always a great idea.
Large group policy at the Farm Winery:
We are asking that groups of 8 or more follow the below guidelines so that everyone can have a safe and enjoyable time.
i. Groups of over 8 guests may be accommodated in our pavilion or picnic grounds. Our indoor tables are not large enough to accommodate parties of more than eight.
ii. We ask that large groups do not add more seats than what each table holds. (Each picnic table holds up to six guests. For example – 12 people would need to use two tables of six. )
iii. We ask that everything for the group is kept to the tables for the party. For example, we ask that large parties do not bring tents, yard games, or extra tables.
vi. Our covered outdoor pavilion is available on a first-come first-serve basis. To make sure all guests can have an enjoyable experience, please keep in mind that we ask guests not to move tables.
vii. Please be respectful to other guests around you. We are a family friendly venue, and ask that no obscene decorations are brought on the property.
viii. For private parties, or parties larger than 18 guests please contact our Tasting Room Manager, Adam, firstname.lastname@example.org or 717-334-4631.
The winery opened in 1975 and is the 5th oldest operating winery in Pennsylvania. The barn itself was built just after the Civil War and still has original woodwork that can be seen in the Tasting Room.
